Dallas

Link: http://www.sightkey.com

I'll be in Dallas to meet with former faculty and colleagues from school (SCAD) on Friday evening (March 27th) from 9-11pm. While in town I'd be up for doing some shooting if anyone's interested.

If you have would like to hire me then please contact us for rates.

If you are a model and have a specific project in mind (i.e. your website, headshots, or a particular project of yours) that you want me to shoot then I'd ask for payment. However, I'm open to collaboration and if it's something that benefits both of us then I'm more than willing to TF*. Any paying jobs will take precedence over TF*.

I'm open to a variety of projects and ideas. I'm flexible on location, I'll obviously have a hotel room to shoot in but am willing to travel within the area. So feel free to contact me if you'd like to work together. I plan to arrive in Dallas the afternoon of the 27th and will stay Saturday as long as I have shooting to do.

I can be reached by cell at (405) 613-0930.

Thanks for reading.

AMIX and a few other things.

Link: http://www.sightkey.com

Below is a small banner I did for the show AMIX that we held last week at Sight Key Studios. We had a nice turn-out and I think most everyone who attended had a really nice time. The work will stay up for about a month before we put up what we hope will be another interesting show. So feel free to stop by and check out the work.

As we move into March things are going well here at the studio. Lately we've been shooting a variety of projects: everything from content for a commercial website, to headshots for an actress/model, to sexy pictures for a boyfriend's birthday and even traditional family portraits. I love the challenge of shooting different projects. I simply mention it because, if there's some pictures that you're wondering if we can shoot then call us and we'll discuss your project.

Beyond that, the weather is starting to turn and it feels like spring is in the air. In honor of that I'll create another post to showcase one of the pieces from AMIX. Check back every-so-often for additional images from the show.

Thanks for reading.

-Robert

Oklahoma Fine Arts Photographer Robert Henry Presents Solo Show

Link: http://www.sightkey.com

OKLAHOMA CITY, OKLAHOMA, February 5, 2009 – Oklahoma photographer and artist Robert Henry will debut a new solo show entitled “AMIX” at the Sight Key Studios Gallery. The show will be an eclectic mix of photography and artwork that has not previously been on display. An opening party for “AMIX” will be on February 13 at 8 p.m. and will run until midnight.

Robert Henry stated, “The selection is mostly pieces that I adore on a personal level for one reason or another.” AMIX is a collection that runs counter to typical art shows. “Usually when you showcase a body of work you are taught to have a unifying concept or idea. While I love to work that way, a lot of times small, singular images get set aside and thus, may get lost along the way,” Henry explained.

The “AMIX” opening party will start at 8 p.m. on Friday February 13 at the Sight Key Studios gallery. Entrance is free and refreshments will be provided. “AMIX” will run through Saturday, March 21. Regular gallery hours are Thursday and Friday from noon until 7 p.m. or Saturday from noon until 5 p.m. Call Sight Key Studios at 405-917-7704 or visit the Sight Key Studios website, SightKey.com for more information about the event, or to arrange an interview with Robert Henry.

Robert Henry has a B.F.A. in Photography with a Sequential Art minor at the Savannah College of Art and Design, in Savannah, Georgia. He has worked as an artist in a variety of media, with photography being his main focus. His artwork, ranging from painting to illustration to photography, has been featured in several galleries from Georgia to Oklahoma. In his work he seeks to create imagery that maintains a fine art aesthetic while also being of solid craftsmanship. Robert Henry is President of Sight Key Studios Incorporated.

Fetish Photographer Dirk Hooper to Exhibit in Pennsylvania Art Show

Link: http://www.sightkey.com

ALLENTOWN, PENNSYLVANIA, February 4, 2009 – Fantasy and fetish photographer Dirk Hooper will have several photos on display during the “My Fetish Valentine” art show at Art N Soul Studios. Hooper will be joined by Lehigh Valley’s own Scott Nichol and Ed Mironiuk from New Jersey. This is Art N Soul Studios’ first group fetish show and is curated by owner Craig Smith. “My Fetish Valentine” will begin on February 7th with an opening party that begins at 7 p.m.

Dirk Hooper stated, “Art N Soul is a great venue to show work and the fetish theme is a slam dunk for my genre of photography.” Hooper’s exhibition in Utrecht, the Netherlands wrapped just prior to the opening of the show in Pennsylvania. “This has been a great start to the year,” Hooper remarked, “I’m excited to share my own vision and the contribution of the Toxic Goddess models with such a new and diverse crowd of people.”

“My Fetish Valentine” opening party will begin at 7pm and run into the night. There will be food, drinks and a DJ spinning tunes all evening long. Fetish wear is encouraged but not required. You must be 18 to enter the event and 21 to drink alcohol. Due to the nature of the art and for the privacy of the participants it is requested that no cameras or video devices be brought to the event. Art N Soul Studios is located at 516 West Hamilton Street in Allentown, Pennsylvania. For more information please call Art N Soul Studios at 484-338-4856.

Dirk Hooper is a world renowned fetish and fantasy photographer, fine artist, graphic designer and writer whose work has been described as “forbidden tales to rival the likes of H.P. Lovecraft and the Marquis de Sade.” Dirk’s publishing credits include such diverse media as comic books, music CDs, art books and slick fetish magazines. He has also cultivated a reputation as a fine artist in established venues like the prestigious Fred Jones Jr. Art Museum and as an underground visionary in galleries like the Electric Chair, “the Dirty Show” in Detroit, “Fetish Project” in Brussels, Belgium and “Siberia” in Utrecht, the Netherlands. Dirk has work in the permanent collection of the Kinsey Institute based at Indiana University.
